Message Regarding Midget Minor Junior Proposal

2015-04-10

The proposal sets forth a framework for a three-year pilot project for a new AAA League. The ODMHA is proposing that the Minor Midget and Midget AAA divisions as they currently exist be eliminated. In its place, a proposed league comprised of 12 teams with players aged 15, 16 and 17 will be established – starting play in the of Fall 2015.It is our understanding that on Monday April 13, 2015, (or otherwise in the near future) the ODMHA Executive Council intends to vote on the following resolution:

Motion: “A branch-wide “Midget AAA” league encompassing combined players of midget-age will commence for a 3-year pilot in the ODMHA, for the 2015-2016 hockey season, in accordance with the regulations and policies drafted by the sub-committee under mandate from Minor Council. Final ratification to proceed or return to current AAA would be determined by vote at the 2018 ODMHA AGM”.

We invite you to review the proposal and contact the ODMHA directly to provide your comments or raise any questions.

In the meantime, we are reviewing the proposal and following up with other OEMHL AAA member clubs
